This Valentine’s Day, send your social media savvy professor a little love with a Shorty Award nomination.

The Shorty Awards are an event that honors the best authors of short-form content on micro-blogging sites like Twitter. The genre of learning awards only has two featured categories: college and science. I think it is time we added professor to that list.

So, today, I’ll be honoring a professor who is part of my Personal Learning Network each hour with a Shorty Award nomination. I hope you’ll join me by adding your tweeting professors to the list or by supporting one of the folks already listed with a nomination of your own.
