Journal 10: Interpersonal Communication

Select five people that you know (non-family members).

For each person that you have identified, determine which stage in the evolution of friendship (or romantic relationships, if applicable) you are currently in with that person. Explain why you believe you are in this stage. What are the communication patterns that tell you you are in this stage?

If you are satisfied with the stage you are in, what specific strategies can you use to maintain this stage?

If you are unsatisfied with the stage you are in, what specific steps can you take to move this relationship to another stage?
